Research Interest

My research is currently concentrated on diffusion tensor imaging and its applications to population studies, pertaining to ASD and schizophrenia.

Recently, I've started a new research agenda related to circuitry level substrates of cognitive faculties, aiming to infer interrelations among mental domains at the levels of behavior and brain.

I'm also interested in philosophical foundations of machine learning, especially topics on abstraction, representation, and idealization.

During my PhD, I worked mainly in the domain of computer vision, developing algorithms and applications for face detection/recognition.
