The Brain-Image Database Project:
Registration Research

The overall goal of this research is the development of computer-based methods for registering MR images of the brain to a common standard. Accurate registration guides computer-based lesion segmentation, increases the statistical power of lesion-deficit analysis, and supports spatial data mining and hypothesis testing.

The algorithms used in the BRAID project for registering brain images to a common standard have been developed in The Section on Biomedical Image Analysis, by Christos Davatzikos and Dinggang Shen. Visit this page for a demonstration of , our latest registration algorithm.
